Venice TV Award – Celebrating the Best in Television
Broadcasters, production companies, streaming services and online platforms are invited to submit. Eligible programmes must have premiered between 1 January 2025 and 20 September 2026. The entry deadline is 30 June.
Two weeks after the Film Festival, a global panel of jurors will gather in Venice for the award, supported by ACT (Association of Commercial Television in Europe), egta (European Group of Television Advertising) and the IMZ International Music + Media Centre.
“As a juror, I really enjoy seeing a fascinatingly broad range of filmmaking subjects and styles on display,” said Alan Holland, BBC Studios‘ Head of Specialist Factual Productions.
From drama and documentary to news, entertainment and emerging talent, the award recognises excellence across the full television landscape. Entries compete in categories including Documentary, Best Series, Best TV Movie, News, Performing Arts, Comedy, Children/Youth, Reality TV, Light Entertainment, Program Promotion, Branded Entertainment, Sport, Cross-Platform Programming, New Talent, Animation, Cinematography and Direction.
“We are happy to support the Venice TV Award,” said Katty Roberfroid, Director General of egta. “Great content is a must for the future of our industry, so we are pleased to acknowledge the merit of those who produce it.”
Winners will be announced on 29 September.
